fiorenzo bodrato began his activity in torino during the nineties where he shares the stage with musicians such as: matteo negrin, emanuele cisi, tony scott, claudio chiara, diego borotti, roberto cecchetto, lauro rossi, beppe di filippo.
he forms his first quintet in 1998 “lokomotivkanarone” playing in clubs and festival in italy and france (lemans, mulhouse, belfort) and recording two cd of his compositions. in 2006 he gives birth to a trio including reedman carlo actis dato and drummer nicola stranieri and records two acclaimed cds “futile muziek” and, adding luca calabrese on trumpet and dario mazzucco on drums “mainscream five”.
he moves his base to siena in 2008 and get in touch with international jazz master playing with george garzone, john taylor, gerry bergonzi, john riley, aaron goldberg, pietro tonolo, danilo rea, enrico rava and marc ducret and studying with bassists eddie gomez, palle daniellson, drew gress, hein van de geyn, rufus reed. in 2012 plays with reedman francesco partipilo and drummer famoudou don moye in the ensemble 720degrees and records with andrea buffa quartet for leorecords.
he is associated of cmc records that since 1977 promotes concerts and recordings of creative improvisation in music.
